How is Digest+ different from regular digestive enzymes?
Digest+ contains goldenseal and papain. The goldenseal stimulates natural production of digestive secretions including enzymes, HCL (stomach acid) and bile. Secondly, it breaks down bad bacteria and aids in the healing of the gastrointestinal tract to reduce inflammation and absorb nutrients. Papain breaks down proteins and soothes digestive upsets.
Who is Digest+ Ideal for?
Digest+ aids in the healing of the GI tract so it is ideal for people in their teens to seniors with digestive issues; this includes digestive system issues of: food allergies, bloating, low HCL (stomach acid), acid reflux / heart burn and issues including irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and irritable bowel disease (IBD) including diverticulitis, Crohn's and Colitis. It is particularly helpful for travelers who are concerned about or have travelers’ diarrhea.
When is the best time to take Digest+?
VITALITY recommends taking Digest+ 1-2 tablets before a meal and in cases where people have ongoing digestive concerns, to take 1 in the evening (this is when the body can focus its energy on repairing the intestinal tract). The recommended max dose is 6 per day. As the body heals many find they only require 1 before each meal and can continue to take in the evening. We recommend taking 6 tablets per day for 10 to 30 days to help support good digestion.
